# Sign-in and password help

> Get help with institutional sign-on, a StudyStash password or an email code.

Enter your institution email on the StudyStash sign-in page. The options shown depend on your account and institution.

Follow the route that matches the sign-in option you see. The steps below explain each one.

## Institutional single sign-on

If you are redirected to your institution’s sign-in page, use its password reset process or contact its IT team. A StudyStash password reset does not change your institution password.

## StudyStash password

If you see a password field, select **Forgot password?**, then **Send reset email**. Follow the instructions sent to the address linked to your account.

## Email sign-in code

If **Email me a sign-in code** is available, select it and enter the code from your inbox. Check your spam folder if the email does not arrive. Use **Resend code** when it becomes available if you need a new one.

## Still unable to sign in?

Check that you are using the institution email linked to your access. If your course opens StudyStash through an LMS, try the link there. [Contact support](https://help.studystash.com/support.md) with the error message if access still fails; do not include your password or sign-in code.
