# Share resources and folders

> Invite someone by email or share a link to notes, flashcards, tests or folders.

You can share individual study resources or a folder. Choose an email invitation for specific people, or a sharing link for a group or class.

## Open the share menu

In **My Files**, open the resource’s three-dot **Actions** menu and select **Share**. You can also open a resource and select the share icon beside its title.

Choose Share from the Actions menu.

## Invite someone by email

1. Enter the person’s institution email address in the share dialog.
2. Check the address, then send the invitation.

Enter the institution email address of the person you want to invite.

## Share a link

1. In **Share your resource**, choose **Anyone with the link**.
2. Select the copy icon. The **File is now public** message confirms the sharing setting changed.
3. Send the copied link to the people you want to share with.

## Share a folder

In **My Stash**, open the three-dot menu beside a folder and select **Share**. Choose an invitation or link in the same way as for a resource.

>
> People who can access a shared study resource can make a copy. Check that you have permission to share the content before sending an invitation or link.

## Share with a class

Post the link in the relevant LMS module, week or announcement so students can find it alongside their course materials. See the [announcement templates](https://help.studystash.com/educators/announcement-templates.md) for an introduction you can adapt.

## If someone cannot open a resource

Check the invitation email or sharing setting, then copy and send the link again. If access still fails, [contact support](https://help.studystash.com/support.md) with the link and the error message.
